Patient Care TechnicianJob Summary: The DIALYSIS TECHNICIAN assists with the deliverance and coordination of hemodialysis therapy, involving preparation of the patient, equipment, and supplies associated with such therapy, as well as all other relevant duties and those assigned by the Clinic Manager. $35,000 - $45,000 annually plus performance bonuses!Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Preparation of patients and dialysis equipment for the performance of hemodialysisMonitors and records machine parameters and patient response during treatmentPreparation of bicarbonate for treatmentEmpties trash, contaminated needle boxes and laundryResponds to patient needs: emergency situations, bedpans, and transportationAssists in CQI data collection and coordination where applicableMaintains the confidentiality of all Practice information regarding patients, coworkers and physiciansPerforms all other relevant duties which may be helpful to the patient's social/mental well being and those assigned by the Clinic ManagerPosition Requirements - Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must possess ability to communicate effectively and express ideas clearly and concisely as this position requires frequent contact with patients, physicians, and nursing staffMust possess ability to meet physical demands of the position. These include, but are not limited to, constant sitting, standing, bending, lifting and moving.
