Talent Acquisition Coordinator

Job Description Starting Date: Immediately Hybrid 2 days from home Starting at $52,000 + commensurate with experience Job Function: Under the supervision of the Executive Director of HR – the Talent Acquisition Coordinator works to: Lead, plan, direct, coordinate, and execute recruitment initiatives to ensure schools are fully staffed. Coordinate candidate selection in the areas of certification, highly qualified teachers, retention, and performance management. Develop and maintain talent acquisition pipelines to identify prospective candidates. Collaborate effectively with staff to oversee the hiring and selection process. Duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director of HR and the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Work with Campus-Based Talent Leaders and other supervisors to develop plans to keep schools fully staffed, ensure job specifications and desired candidate qualities are clear, and provide feedback on candidate selection. Internalize staffing, recruitment, selection, hiring, and retention processes. Strong organizational, teamwork, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated self‑starter with the ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy. Collaborate with organizations to build talent pipelines. Coordinate charter‑wide recruitment initiatives overseeing preparation and budget. Drive and manage the candidate journey throughout the selection process to ensure a positive experience. Manage and oversee collaboration with colleges/universities to place students. Manage special projects as assigned by the CHRO including reports, district job fairs, and recruitment promotional items. Verify certification status of teacher applicants and employees with the Texas State Board of Education Certification (SBEC), universities, colleges, and education agencies in other states. Assist with the maintenance of complete job description documentation. Review employment applications and associated documents for completeness and accuracy. Maintain records and provide reports as necessary regarding resumes, applicant flow, and employee selection (in computer database and files). Schedule and attend on‑site career fairs as needed to expand the network of candidates. Manage various platforms to attend virtual career fairs and recruit campus staff to attend. Prepare and post job openings internally and externally as appropriate. Reach out to candidates using social media, partnerships with universities, etc. Assist with teacher retention strategies. Skills and Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of constituents or employees of the organization. Willingness and ability to use Microsoft Office suite for spreadsheets, letters, and other written communications. Application of common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical ability to sit, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel, talk or hear; stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university (preferred). 3‑5 years of experience with Recruitment & Certification requirements. Ability to travel.
