In this role, you will report directly to the Controller. You have a strong accounting background that youre looking to apply to a fast-growing business setting. You will improve financial transparency and enhance processes to improve decision-making and support the rapid scaling of the business. The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Pakas financial records and reporting. This position executes accounting activities, including monthend close, account reconciliations, technical accounting research, and financial analysis. The Senior Accountant serves as a subject matter expert for assigned areas, supports audits and system implementations, and helps drive continuous improvement across accounting processes.This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across functions. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and aligned with Pakas mission and values.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full month-end close cycle, including AP, AR, standard and non-standard journal entry posting, and other ad hoc reporting as required.Analyze and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts, identify discrepancies, research root causes, and prepare correcting entries in accordance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesSupport internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentationOversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, serve as the primary point of contact for key vendors and customers, and execute weekly vendor reconciliations to support inventory reporting.Manage sales tax accruals and reporting.Support the monthly budget readout process by preparing department-level financial statementsDevelop efficiencies through process automation.Collaborate crossfunctionally to research accounting questions and support financerelated initiativesParticipate in financeled system implementations and enhancements, including defining, building, and testing accounting requirementsEffectively prioritize competing deadlines and responsibilities while delivering highquality work with minimal supervisionContribute to and lead ad hoc projects and special assignments as neededQualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting or FinanceProfessional accounting experience with a large public accounting firm Demonstrated ability to independently research and apply U.S. GAAPExperience supporting audits and working with auditorsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.Possesses excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong time-management skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work collaboratively across departments.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsCPA or CPAeligibleMasters degree in Finance or related field Experience in a highgrowth, multientity, or fastpaced environmentExperience with system implementations and accounting process automationExhibit excellent critical thinking abilities.Be a creative and proactive problem solver._ _PAKA is an equal opportunity employer.
