INTAKE COUNSELOR - Per Diem

Responsibilities The Intake Counselor is responsible for facilitating facility admissions by performing initial assessment and referral activities for all incoming and potential patients, consulting with potential patients, patient families, medical staff, and other hospital staff, and counseling patients and families regarding current assessments, recommended referrals, and recommended required levels of care. Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities Working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
