Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)

A dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide care for pediatric patients in a residential setting. The position involves monitoring the needs of youth, administering medications, and collaborating with a medical team to ensure quality patient care.

Shift Details

Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and assess the behavioral and physical health needs of pediatric patients.
Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
Participate in rounds with physicians and discuss patient progress.
Assist with physical and chemical restraints when necessary, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Document patient care and any interventions performed in accordance with policies.

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in psychiatric nursing, particularly with pediatric patients.
Current RN license in Arkansas or a multistate license.
AHA BLS certification required.
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required (can be obtained upon hiring).
