This position will remain open until filled.
San Luis Valley Health is seeking part-time CNAs to join our OB/Postpartum team. The CNA will keep the unit organized and assist in facilitating communication between the nurses, physicians, patients, and family members in addition to direct patient care.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:- High School graduate or GED.
- Must have an active CNA License
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Communicate pertinent medical information to nurse and physicians
- Stock supplies as needed
- Empty trash cans as needed
- Assist with the cleaning/changing of beds
- Take instruments to central supply at end of shift
- Take vital signs per protocol/MD order
- Enter Vital Signs and I/Os
- Set up delivery tables
- Pass food trays and beverages
- Assist nursing with delegated care.
- Answers call lights and assists needs of patient within scope of practice
