Responsibilities
- Provide adult and geriatric respiratory care per physician orders, including aerosol and oxygen therapy; maintain treatment documentation
- Manage patients on mechanical ventilation; monitor ventilator parameters, alarms, and adjust therapy as ordered
- Draw and interpret arterial blood gases per policy and physician orders
- Document care in electronic medical records; complete flow sheets and charge entries
- Assist in department operations, training, and supervision of new staff as delegated; collaborate with nursing and medical teams
- Deliver NICU and pediatric respiratory care as qualified; perform airway management and intubation if credentialed; support patient and family education

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
- Licenses/Certifications: NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required at time of hire or within 90 days
- Facility-specific credentials: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS as noted above
- Experience: At least two years of recent respiratory care experience; NICU and pediatric experience preferred
- Additional: Ability to work in a short-term acute care setting; able to perform intubation if credentialed
