Role Overview We are hiring a YouTube Video Ad Creative Strategist who understands direct response at a deep level and knows how to translate strategy into high converting video ads. You will be responsible for developing and scripting mini VSLs and YouTube ad creatives designed to stop the scroll, build curiosity, and drive action. This role requires someone who can combine research, psychology, and creative direction to produce ads that perform profitably at scale. You will collaborate with editors, creators, and AI assisted production workflows to bring high performing concepts to life. Key Responsibilities Develop and script high converting YouTube video ads and mini VSLs for ecommerce brands. Conduct deep avatar, market, and competitor research to develop strong creative angles and mechanisms. Create production ready scripts including hook concepts, shot lists, B roll guidance, and on screen text. Develop complete creative briefs for video production including messaging, tone, structure, and visual direction. Analyze ad performance data and iterate creatives based on winning patterns. Collaborate with editors, UGC talent, and AI producers to produce scalable video assets. Manage multiple brands and campaigns simultaneously while maintaining creative quality. Utilize AI tools heavily throughout research, scripting, ideation, and production workflows. Qualifications and Requirements Two or more years of experience writing and producing YouTube or Facebook direct response video ads. Strong understanding of direct response marketing and conversion psychology. Deep familiarity with Eugene Schwartz’s market awareness stages and how to match messaging to audience awareness. Experience scripting mini VSLs, YouTube ads, and direct response video creatives. Ability to write in multiple voices such as founder led, conversational, authority driven, and UGC style storytelling. Strong ability to review creative performance metrics and translate insights into new ad concepts. Highly self directed and comfortable operating in a performance driven environment. Comfortable using AI tools for research, scripting, and content production. Preferred Skills and Bonuses Experience working with health, supplement, or wellness brands. Experience writing ads in compliance sensitive industries such as supplements, health claims, or weight loss. Understanding of unique mechanism development and positioning in saturated markets using frameworks such as RMBC.
