Certified InterpreterWork Type: 1099 Contract | Virtual
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time, accurate interpretation between two or more languages.
- Interpret in various settings, including meetings, medical appointments, court proceedings, and public events.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Adapt to different speaking styles, dialects, and regional variations.
- Assist in translating written documents when necessary.
- Prepare for assignments by researching industry-specific terminology.
- Collaborate with clients, professionals, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication.
- Utilize remote interpreting tools when necessary, such as video or telephone interpretation.
- Continuously develop language and interpretation skills through training and professional development.
- Uphold ethical standards and best practices in interpretation.
We’re looking for interpreters who:
- Hold RID certification and/or relevant state BEI certification
- Are comfortable providing professional virtual interpreting services
- Are reliable, responsive, and professional
- Are interested in flexible, assignment-based opportunities
