Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular/PRN

Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse provides care and education for patients based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment. The position manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The position also directs and guides the patient care activities of ancillary personnel and other patient care personnel, while maintaining standards of professional practice. The Registered Nurse maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase their level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease and new procedures as they evolve.ResponsibilitiesWhat you will doAssesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/significant other in order to address all identified needs.Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.Maintains up to date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure quality care.Performs Stress testing on both IP and OP, administers cardiac medications as required.Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure. Pursues professional growth and development.Performs TEE and Cardioversion procedures with the use of anesthesia, recovers, and discharges the patient.Performs Tilt Table testing.QualificationsMinimum EducationTechnical Diploma/Certificate Nursing Required orAssociates Degree Nursing RequiredBachelor's Degree Nursing PreferredMinimum Work Experience1 year Experience in Cardiovascular or Cardiopulmonary.
