Inspire and educate the next generation as a Health Teacher at a vibrant junior high school conveniently located near Berwyn, IL. This contract opportunity covers the academic year from August 17, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with approximately 33.75 hours per week on campus—no virtual or remote options. As the sole health teacher for this engaging environment, you'll champion wellness and develop essential life skills among middle school students.

What you’ll bring:

• Active and valid teaching license and Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois
• Background in general education with a focus or endorsement in health preferred
• Experience teaching junior high or middle school students is an advantage
• Passion for fostering a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate health education curriculum to junior high students
• Create lesson plans that encourage participation, critical thinking, and healthy behaviors
• Assess student progress, adapt instruction as needed, and provide constructive feedback
• Support the school’s broader wellness goals, collaborating with faculty and staff
• Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with all educational standards
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and dynamic classroom atmosphere
