Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) position located in Reston, Virginia. This role involves providing specialized care for post-surgical cardiovascular patients in a dedicated cardiac intensive care setting. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to a new cardiac surgery program launch.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including ACLS. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with fresh cardiac surgery patients and direct primary recovery experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Training in balloon pump, Impella, Hemosphere or Acumen.
• Additional Information: The unit houses 4 beds with patient ratios of 1:1 immediate post-surgical and 1:2 in post-operative days 1-3. Staff utilize Meditech Expanse for documentation. The unit has staffing composed of experienced staff with advanced skills and state-of-the-art equipment, supporting a new cardiac surgery program.
