Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command Responsibilities This Position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601 If selected, Federal employees currently serving in the competitive service must acknowledge that they will voluntarily leave the competitive service by accepting an offer of employment for a DCIPS excepted service positions. For more information see Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: The primary purpose of this position is: To serve.as an Intelligence Analyst for the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC), analyze all source intelligence information and prepare intelligence products. Continually monitors key world events and potential contingencies to anticipate short-notice requirements for intelligence support. Conducts in-depth research; evaluates both classified and unclassified information; analyzes and fuses multi-source information from all intelligence disciplines to satisfy a broad range of customer requirements. Manages and produces intelligence products for unit personnel in garrison, deploying force packages during pre-deployment preparation, and commanders and senior leaders to support decision-making. Assists the JECC Foreign Disclosure Officer by reviewing and preparing classified military information and controlled unclassified information for disclosure or release to foreign governments and/or international organizations. Monitors JECC intelligence activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, Executive Orders, Intelligence Community (IC) and DoW policies, regulations, and directives. By direction or in the absence of the J2 Director, performs duties and acts on his or her behalf in the full range of intelligence matters. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GG-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: Performing complex, all-source intelligence analysis by researching, evaluating, and fusing multi-source information to produce finished intelligence products for decision-makers. Managing the intelligence production process, including creating products in various formats, disseminating them to consumers, and coordinating with other Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of War (DoW) intelligence organizations. Applying knowledge of U.S. laws and national policies related to intelligence activities, such as those governing Intelligence Oversight or the foreign disclosure of classified information. Utilizing structured analytic techniques and data-informed methods to enhance the rigor and transparency of intelligence analysis. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Read more about what should I include in my federal resume? at ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: Federal agencies treat active duty service member as veterans, disabled veterans, and preference eligible, when they submit, as part of their application package, a "certification" of active service in lieu of a DD-214, indicating the service member is otherwise eligible and will be discharged or released within 120 days from the date of submission.. A "certification" letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. This "certification" must include your rank, dates of active duty service, type of discharge and character of service (i.e. honorable), and date any terminal leave will begin. It must be signed by, or by direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer, or commander of your unit or higher headquarters.
