Job Description ** Only students who have completed this year's FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply ** For Semester/Term: Fall 2026 Hiring Department: Fine Arts/Audio Recording Program Supervisor: John Jacobson Location: North Las Vegas Campus (NLV) Work Hours per week: 19.5 Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00 Our Program instructs students in theoretical principles of audio technology and trains them for practical understanding of hardware and software used in audio recording and live sound. Position Description This position aids our students and staff by completing the following duties: Monitor Open Lab hours in the Computer Music Classroom/Lab Organize, maintain, and inventory audio equipment Set up classrooms and audio equipment for classes and activities Assist with housekeeping and general organization of workspaces Perform minor office tasks and other related duties as assigned Assist with maintaining and updating audio software as needed Provide support to students using audio equipment and classroom resources Our services benefit: CSN students and staff Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs: Certificate of Achievement in Music Business and Technology Required Qualifications: Basic understanding of audio fundamentals, terminology, and audio recording hardware and software Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide support to students and users Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn Preferred Qualifications: Strong computer skills and familiarity with audio equipment Enrollment in the CSN Audio Recording Program preferred To be considered for this position, candidates must attach the following documents: 1. To maintain eligibility, students must: Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar. Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year. Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired. Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment. Student's cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student. CSN employees or employees within the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) MUST use the "Browse Jobs" process within Workday to find and apply for jobs at CSN and other NSHE Institutions.
