Drive safe, efficient grain operations that support the success of our soybean crush facility. As a Grain Control Room Superintendent, you will lead daily production activities, oversee control room and stevedore teams, and coordinate rail, barge, blending, drying, and vessel operations to keep product moving smoothly. You will optimize inventory, storage capacity, and dispatch performance while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a hands‑on, results‑driven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and excels at logistics, team development, and continuous improvement. This role is a rotating shift position Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities Develop and implement the daily production plan, including inbound/outbound organization, rail/barge unloading, binning, blending, drying, and vessel coordination. Supervise and collaborate with Control Room Operators and Stevedores to maximize grain and by‑product handling. Effectively manage grain movement through Chesapeake to maximize facility efficiency, revenue generation and meet internal/external customer needs. Support and verify that Shift Superintendents, Control Room Operators, and Stevedores follow production plans and operate efficiently. Effectively monitor and manage the quality and inventory of products through implementation of the facility Inventory Control Program. Provide leadership for the safety program to ensure safe working conditions for all associates. Ensure compliance with GIPSA/USDA grain handling and warehousing regulations. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree (Agriculture, Business, or Logistics), or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Knowledge of grain handling/storage facility operations and technologies. Knowledge of USDA Grain Standards for Domestic and Export operations. Knowledge of rail, truck, barge and vessel logistics. Employee relations experience. Required to travel to remote Agribusiness facilities and customer locations. Preferred Education and Experience 5-10 years of related experience. Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors Able to move freely throughout the Agribusiness facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'). Carry tools and equipment (0-50 pounds). Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).
