Make a difference in the lives of students by providing dedicated, specialized instruction in a supportive educational setting near Cranston, RI. This contract opportunity invites a compassionate Special Education Teacher to deliver targeted instruction, ensuring every student receives the individualized attention they deserve.
Key Qualifications & Attributes:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students requiring individualized educational programs
- Demonstrated understanding of special education laws and best practices
- Ability to tailor lessons for diverse learning needs
- Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills
- Willingness to collaborate with families and school staff
- Proof of full vaccination (required, serving an immunocompromised student)
Role Highlights & Expectations:
- Conduct three 1-hour instructional sessions per week
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Adapt instructional methods and materials to support different learning styles
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed and communicate growth with the educational team
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
