Mobile Field Service Technician - Agricultural Equipment

Bucklin Tractor & Implement Co. (BTI) is looking for a highly motivated Mobile Service Technican to join our team in our Greensburg location. A Service Technician;s primary responsibility is to independently perform complex on-site diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, or Shop Foreman.BTI is a premier agriculture and farm equipment dealership serving central and western Kansas. Since 1944, BTI has valued the opportunity to create long-term relationships with our customers by giving them the best customer service available.Responsibilities:Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technologyReports any additional work required on equipment to ensure proper operation and safetyResponsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of informationKeeping records required to establish cost of parts and labor charge to customerPerforms diagnostics and repairs in the field as requiredHandle customer issues objectively and tactfullyAnswer service phone calls and assisting the customer accordinglyOperates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilitiesMaintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashionFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsParticipate in John Deere training courses and other continuing education classes, as assignedPerform related and other duties, as assignedExperience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred.Valid driver’s license is requiredMinimum 1-2 years of experience performing mechanical service repairs requiredLocated in the Kinsley or Lewis area, highly preferredAg Tech Graduate or 2 years of John Deere experience preferredAbility to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment, following Technical Manual proceduresKnowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipmentExperience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment for diagnostic purposesExperience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR or other computer based diagnostic repair tools preferredExperience communicating effectively verbally and in writingAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyBenefits:401(k) w/ company matchHealth and Dental InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time OffCompany Paid HolidaysTraining and Development OpportunitiesEmployee DiscountsEmployee Assistance Program #J-18808-Ljbffr Bucklin-Tractor-
