Job Description

Cardinal Staffing is partnered with a local manufacturing facility in Lansing, MI. We are looking for a motivated and skilled operator to join our team in a facility that specializes in the importing, fabricating, and exporting of stainless-steel products. This role involves hands-on work with raw stainless-steel materials, operating fabrication equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring all products meet quality and customer standards.
Pay rates vary based on experience, starting $19-23/hour. Currently looking to hire for 2nd shift, working 3p-11p, working Sunday-Thursday.
Key Responsibilities: • Receive and inspect incoming shipments of stainless steel from international suppliers
• Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and documentation
• Safely unload and store raw materials using forklifts or overhead cranes
• Maintain accurate records of imported materials and inventory levels
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cut lists
• Operate forklift, overhead, and other machinery
• Package and prepare shipments
• Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus
• 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing (stainless steel preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Forklift and crane operation experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment
