Quality Control Manager

We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality inspection operations for a manufacturing organization in the Westmont, IL area. This individual will oversee day-to-day Quality Assurance Inspection activities, ensuring inspection processes meet established quality standards, customer expectations, production schedules, and regulatory requirements. The role will also lead quality initiatives related to corrective actions, calibration, non-conforming materials, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must have 3+ years of leadership experience and strong working knowledge of GD&T. This role is onsite in the Chicagoland area. Relocation assistance is available for candidates living outside of the area. Key Responsibilities Lead Quality Inspection operations and personnel Manage inspection planning and scheduling to support manufacturing and on-time delivery Maintain compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) Oversee non-conforming material and reporting processes Own calibration processes and outcomes Monitor quality KPIs and implement corrective actions Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and other departments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years of progressive Quality Control/Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment 3+ years of supervisory experience Strong working knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Aerospace & Defense industry experience is highly preferred There is meaningful advancement potential, with the goal for this position to growth . 5 days onsite $120K up to $138K base + bonus opportunity Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, 120 hours of PTO, 401(k) with match, paid holidays, and employer-paid short- and long-term disability coverage.
