Registered Nurse – ICU (MICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive nursing interventions
• Float to additional ICU units and Emergency Department for patient holds as needed
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety practices in accordance with facility standards
• Complete required facility modules and annual competencies as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Critical Care / ICU experience prior to travel
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission (Compact licenses accepted for starts dated 1/1/23 and forward)
• Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• No open license hits or open background case findings
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director within the applying specialty (from assignments worked within the past 12 months)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Prior experience floating across multiple ICU environments
