Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics/NICU

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 3x12-Hour Days (07:00 - 19:30)

• Holiday rotation required
• Every other weekend commitment

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide high-quality care in a Level 4 Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric, neonate, and infant care, focusing on pediatrics and pediatric cardiac patients. This position requires a collaborative approach to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a busy healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and monitor patient response
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures
• Conduct assessments and provide interventions for pediatric respiratory patients
• Document patient care and treatments in the electronic health record (Epic)
• Participate in patient education and family support initiatives

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric, Neonate, and Infant care
• Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Epic experience preferred
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license is required by start date
