CT TechnologistJob Title: CT TechnologistProfession: CT TechSpecialty: RadiologyDuration: 13 weeksShift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hoursExperience: Minimum of 2 years in Radiology and CTLicense: ARRT certification in Radiography and CTCertifications: BLS certification (American Heart Association)Must-Have:Associate degree in radiologic technologyAdditional completion of CT technology certificate program preferredAbility to float between X-ray and CT departmentsAvailability for on-call shifts and every other weekendDescription:Reviews patient history and physician orders. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered. Monitors patient condition continuously and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies for procedures. Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results and identifies issues with image quality. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
