Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerOur client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support and maintain quality systems within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements, and supporting product quality from development through production.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the implementation and maintenance of quality system requirements, including APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, control plans, and customer-specific requirementsDevelop and maintain process control plans, capability studies, and Gage R&R studiesPerform process capability analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve quality and efficiencyAnalyze quality data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for process improvementsDevelop inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality documentationInvestigate customer concerns and support customer audits and site visitsCollaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actionsReview manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specificationsInterpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and technical specificationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving process performanceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferredPrevious Quality Engineering experience within an automotive manufacturing environment requiredStrong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and other Automotive Core ToolsExperience conducting Gage R&R studies and process capability analysisAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsExperience creating and maintaining process control plans and inspection documentationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and quality-related reporting toolsAdditional InformationAutomotive industry experience is requiredOpen to non-local candidates; however, relocation assistance is not availableCompetitive pay rate of $50-$65/hour based on experience
