About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Business Services to provide strategic leadership and direction for a wide range of essential campus operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the office of business services, including strategic planning, budgeting, and staffing. This role involves ensuring the efficient and effective operation of various services that support the campus community, such as dining, vending, bookstores, and transportation. The AVP will also be tasked with contract negotiations, procurement initiatives, and developing collaborative partnerships to advance the institution's priorities. Candidates for the AVP position should have a master's degree and a minimum of six years of experience in a relevant field, or a bachelor's degree with eight or more years of experience. A strong background in project management, operational leadership, and a proven track record in emergency management is essential. The ideal candidate will be a politically savvy leader, capable of navigating institutional realities and prioritizing the campus experience. The role requires a leader who is authentic, transparent, and committed to the continuous improvement of business services, with a focus on service excellence and the integration of new operational strategies. The AVP will also be responsible for maintaining legal compliance and safeguarding the financial health and integrity of the institution.
