The Marketing Specialist II develops marketing strategies and executes marketing programs in support of the Hannaford brand strategy, to achieve the company's short and long-term business, brand equity, and marketing goals. The position involves close partnership with Merchandising, Category Management, and Retail Operations in the strategic development, creation and execution of category, department, and Brand initiatives.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Develop customer centric marketing strategies and promotional programs that reinforce the Hannaford brand strategy and align with business priorities.
• Serve as strategic lead for marketing programs: Develop marketing strategy that solves business and consumer problem, aligns stakeholders, and inspires creative development. Initiate job requests, provide relevant content, proof creative, manage budget allocations, communicate relevant details to Retail, Merchandising, Category Management and other Home Office business partners, and provide consistent and thorough follow-up throughout the life of the plan.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing team members to identify opportunities to link programs with business-building plans, existing sponsorships and/or healthy-living initiatives.
• Develop effective cross-functional working relationships with key internal and external partners.
• Work closely with key business partners to measure program performance against pre-defined key performance indicators, and then identify and recommend improvements and/or adjustments.
• Serve as liaison with the vendor community. Partner to explore and execute powerful joint marketing programs.
• Manage budget for area of responsibility.
• Occasional overnight travel.
• This is a hybrid work position based in Scarborough, ME, with a minimum of three days of in-office work required.
• Manage and develop the Coordinator I position.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising or related area.
• 5 or more years of previous marketing or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills including demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
• Ability to effectively plan and manage budget exceeding $2M annually.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Food or retail marketing experience a plus.

Salary Range is $70,800.00 - $106,200.00
