Tech - MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled lab generalist with strong expertise in Epic EMR and phlebotomy. This role involves specimen collection, processing, and analysis within a busy clinical laboratory environment, supporting laboratory initiatives and ensuring high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

Collect, process, and receive specimens including blood, urine, fecal, and body fluids across all age groups.
Evaluate and resolve issues related to specimen collection and processing to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Perform complex laboratory procedures, recognize deviations, and troubleshoot using scientific principles.
Analyze quality control data, interpret results, and take corrective actions to maintain precision.
Support evaluation of new techniques and procedures, including writing and revising technical documents.
Maintain compliance with instrumentation and temperature monitoring, and stay current with lab skills and best practices.

Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in Epic EMR is required; experience in other analyzers is preferred but not mandatory.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or Associate's Degree with grandfathered eligibility.
Certified Laboratory Scientist (CLS/MT (ASCP)) or equivalent certification.
New graduates must pass certification within 6 months of employment start date.
Ability to work day shifts with every other weekend and adapt to varied weekly schedules.
