Senior Designer - NYC Based Kidswear Brand

Our client, a kidswear brand in NYC, is looking for a creative Kids Senior Designer to join their team! We are looking for someone hardworking and dedicated, who is eager to jump in within this fast-paced, dynamic company environment. Responsibilities Responsible for the design process from color, concept, print direction, and silhouette to product execution Actively shop the local market to identify the most current trends in color, fabric, silhouette , graphics/print & pattern- using creative skills to translate effectively Responsible for thorough market research including competitive analysis and benchmarking Ensure the product is consistent with overall market trends and brand identity Utilize strong creative skills to direct color, concept, graphic /print & pattern, and silhouette Direct and collaborate with print/graphics team to execute a clear fresh vision each season Understand screen printing process with ability to evaluate/review pitch sheets and place artwork Execute trend presentations each season including creative sample rigging, mood boards and theme direction, and any other presentation material as needed with direction from VP of Design and sales team Work with sample room and local vendors to create sample presentations as required by meeting deliverables Work with technical team and production team to approve and ensure quality/fit of all product Initiate and actively participate in the development of new concepts and product categories Follow up on fabric and trim orders Qualifications 4+ years of design experience within Newborn Girls Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency in PLM system a plus Detail oriented and able to work in fast-paced environment Technical sketching and CAD ability Please submit your resume & portfolio for consideration. #J-18808-Ljbffr Fourth Floor
