Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 7-week contract position, with an end date of October 31, 2026.

Schedule

Night shifts available: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) or 4x12 hours, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department, catering to a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. The nurse will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of conditions, particularly respiratory issues, heart problems, and psychological emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments and care for patients in the emergency department.
• Administer medications and perform emergency procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain an organized and efficient workload in a high-stress environment.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients, performing triage as required.
• Document patient care and assessments accurately using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact License is mandatory.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required.
• Experience with pediatric patients and a strong ability to manage diverse patient conditions is preferred.
• Charge experience preferred.
