Job Description
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in emergency care.

Position Overview

The Emergency Room RN will provide high-quality care to patients in the emergency department, ensuring a positive experience and optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and efficiently.
• Provide emergency care and support to patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop treatment plans and manage patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Document patient care using electronic health record systems.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
• If applicable, experience in both ICU and ED will be considered.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care (provided on-site), NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS or ENPC.

Unit and Patient Information

• Unit Type: Emergency Room
• Bed Capacity: 31 beds, including 2 triage rooms.
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:4; exceptions may occur during high-demand periods.
• Electronic health records are primarily managed through MedHost and Meditech.

Work Environment

• Rotating weekends and flexibility as needed will be required.
