Live Production Intern - Control Room at Stadium Events

Red Bull New York (\u201cRBNY\u201d) are one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) and one of the league’s ten original charter clubs. Founded in 1996, RBNY has competed in MLS since its inception. RBNY’s First Team plays its home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey and its Second Team plays its home matches at Montclair State University. RBNY are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH, after which the team is named. RBNY’s First Team is a three-time MLS Supporters’ Shield winner and a two-time Conference Champion, while the Second Team is the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Champion. RBNY also operates one of the nation’s premier youth soccer development programs, spanning local partnerships across New York and New Jersey. RBNY’s Academy is ranked among the top development organizations in the country. Purpose of this Internship The Control Room Internship is designed to provide experience to college students pursuing a career in live production within a sports organization. Interns focus on creating an exciting fan experience for all Red Bull New York home matches and other events held at Sports Illustrated Stadium. Interns learn about live production, equipment operation, content creation, and other aspects of match presentation. Interns report directly to the Event Production Coordinator and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization. During the internship, students are involved in all stages of production of all events at Sports Illustrated Stadium. This internship is unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required). Assistfull-time control room staff with completing checklist items in preparation for each event. Work with Daktronics, Sony,DiGiCo, Chyron, Click Effects, and Evertz equipment in a live control room Assistin organizing and creating content for stadium video boards and LED ribbon boards Activelyparticipatein the planning stage, preparation, and execution of events Learn to troubleshoot video, audio, and other signal flow issues Understanding of the process of setup, breakdown, and storage of broadcast equipment after various events Experience working with Adobe Suite or othersimilarediting software Pursuing a degree in Production, Digital Media, Sports Management, or other associated fields Knowledge of pre-production, production, and post-production processes Possess a strong work ethic, take a leadership approach, and strongimprovisationalskills Must be eligible to receive college credit This internship is ideally suited for someone with a strong interest in behind-the-camera live event production. While a strong interest in soccer and sports is notrequired, it is most definitely a plus! Because of the cyclical nature of the entertainment industry, your assigned hours may vary to reflect our needs (includes nights and weekends).
