- # **Current Xavier University employees** **must apply to the internal career site by logging into Workday**Teaching Professor, BiologyXavier University invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Biology to begin in Fall 2026. The individual must hold at least a M.S. degree in an area of the biological sciences, with experience relevant to anatomy and physiology strongly preferred. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities include: teaching non-science majors’ and allied health majors’ lectures and labs (e.g., Human Biology, Anatomy and Physiology), possibly some majors labs (e.g., Human Physiology, Genetics); and service to the department including preparation of one multi-section lab per term. Preparation of multi-section labs entails the planning and maintenance of course content, coordination with other faculty teaching the corequisite lecture and other sections of the lab, and working with the department lab manager to ensure that materials are ordered and set up correctly. Prior experience teaching college student labs, especially anatomy and physiology, is preferred.Xavier University is part of the 500-year-old Jesuit Catholic tradition of academic excellence in the liberal arts.
