A day in the life

You walk the production floor as parts come off the line, blueprint in hand. With micrometers and calipers, you verify dimensions, compare results to specifications, and decide when to accept, reject, or escalate. You spot trends, recommend process tweaks, and partner with operators to keep quality on target throughout every stage of production.

What you'll do
  • Define and uphold product quality criteria aligned to prints and specifications.
  • Interpret engineering blueprints/schematics to confirm conformance.
  • Advise on production process adjustments when variation is detected.
  • Conduct in-process, final, and random inspections of materials and finished goods.
  • Use micrometers and calipers for precise dimensional measurements.
  • Quarantine nonconforming parts and recommend corrective actions to improve quality.
  • Accept or reject finished goods and clearly communicate inspection outcomes to the team.
  • Perform random sampling to assess ongoing product quality and process capability.
What you bring
  • 1+ year in the fastener industry preferred.
  • Fluent in reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Hands-on proficiency with calipers and micrometers.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 practices.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and strong deductive reasoning.
  • Effective verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation.
  • Able to lift, walk, and handle materials as part of daily work; move efficiently between tasks with minimal errors.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and a reliable work ethic.
  • Commitment to OSHA and company safety requirements.

Ability to continuously stand and move through 8–10-hour shifts 100% onsite. One work location.
