.Temporary Part-Time Research Nurse page is loaded## Temporary Part-Time Research Nurselocations: Boston, MA (Main Campus)time type: Part timeposted on: Posted 10 Days Agojob requisition id: R139433**About the Opportunity**The Department of Public Health and Health Sciences is seeking Temporary Part-Time Research Nurses to join a research team conducting studies on risk factors for alcohol misuse in young adults.**Key Responsibilities**Screening Appointments:* Conducting medical history interviews* Performing ECGs and phlebotomy/blood sample collection* Evaluating vital signs including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, respirations, height, weight, and BMI* Determining study eligibilityIV Administration Sessions:* Preparing IV lines and pumps* Preparing participants and connecting them to the IV* Monitoring IV pump functioning and assisting with any errors* Attending to participant well-being during and after the infusion processStudy tasks involve IV administration of both ethanol and saline.**Qualifications*** Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)* Experience with phlebotomy required* Experience working with IVs required**Schedule & Commitment*** Week-to-week per diem hours available for nurses who work full-time elsewhere* Set schedule of up to 20 hours per week available to accommodate parent schedules, semi-retirement, etc.* Position may be renewed beyond 6 months pending availability of grant funds**Position Type**Temporary**Additional Information**Northeastern University considers factors such as candidate work experience, education and skills when extending an offer.Northeastern has a comprehensive benefits package for benefit eligible employees.
