DAY TRAINING COORDINATOR

Employment Solutions Inc

Job Description

Job Description

Day Training Coordinator (IDD Services)

???? About the Role

Are you an experienced IDD professional ready to step into a leadership role where you can truly shape the daily experiences of our participants? We are looking for a dynamic Day Training Coordinator to lead our day training facility! In this role, you will balance staff supervision with direct interaction, ensuring our facility is structured, engaging, and deeply impactful.

Reporting directly to the Program Manager, this is a non-exempt leadership role perfect for a hands-on organizer who loves mentoring staff, planning community outings, and advocating for participants.

???? Your Impact & Core Responsibilities

You will drive the success of our Day Training program by focusing on three key leadership pillars:

  • Team Supervision & Operations: Manage Day Training staff schedules, task assignments, and overall quality of work. Step onto the floor to provide coverage during staff breaks, lunches, or as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Program Planning & Outings: Develop and implement facility schedules to ensure every participant works toward their specific goals. Partner with participants to plan, organize, and supervise exciting weekly and monthly community outings, while coordinating transportation logistics.
  • Compliance & Care Collaboration: Review and process all monthly paperwork, including daily notes, monthly summaries, tracking logs, behavior data, financial records, and MARs. Attend Plan of Care meetings and maintain positive, regular communication with guardians, caregivers, and case managers.

???? What You Bring (Requirements)

We are looking for a structured, communicative leader with extensive experience in a day training environment.

  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically within a Day Training environment.
  • Education & Age: A High School Diploma or GED is required. Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma/GED, OR be at least 21 years old.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage staff schedules and compliance paperwork simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with clinicians, case managers, and families.
  • Logistics: A valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, active car insurance, and the physical ability to actively participate in and demonstrate daily operational tasks (including meal prep).

???? Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • The Best of Both Worlds: Enjoy a leadership role where you can build management skills without losing the direct, rewarding connection to our participants.
  • Creative Freedom: Take the lead on planning community outings and facility schedules that bring joy and independence to our clients.
  • A Path to Growth: Work directly with the Program Manager, gaining valuable insights into healthcare administration and program oversight.
8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, Closed Major Holidays
