• Position: Pediatric Hospitalist Physician, Locum Tenens
• Location: McMinnville, Oregon
• Setting: Pediatric inpatient coverage with newborn care and Nursery Level I support
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,870 - $6,950
• Coverage Type: Ongoing call coverage
• Coverage Dates: August 6, August 22-24, September 1-2, September 6-9, September 11-14, and September 29-October 1, 2026
• Patient Volume: Approximately 1-3 patient encounters per shift
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30-60 days
• Certification Requirement: PALS required
• Board Status: Board eligible accepted; board certification not required

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatrics, pediatric hospitalist medicine, or inpatient newborn care
• Experience providing pediatric inpatient coverage, nursery coverage, and newborn care
• Ability to attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries
• Comfort performing newborn and pediatric intubation
• PALS certification required
• Board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics
• Fellowship training preferred
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing pediatric hospitalist coverage for inpatient and nursery patients
• Evaluate and manage newborns in Nursery Level I
• Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries as needed
• Perform pediatric and newborn intubation when clinically indicated
• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with support services and care team members to ensure seamless patient care
• Respond to a low-volume caseload while maintaining high-quality clinical standards
