Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist

License: Active IL license or confirmation of application process
Certifications: ARRT, BLS
Must-Have: Previous cath lab experience; pediatric experience preferred but not required; McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required
Description:
The candidate will work in the cardiac cath lab.
There are 6 suites/labs available.
The average number of cases per day is between 10 to 15.
The candidate will scrub, monitor hemodynamics, and circulate.
Common diagnoses include various cardiac conditions.
The cath lab operates independently from Interventional Radiology and Electrophysiology.
EMR systems used are EPIC and PACS.
Cardiologists are on call 24/7 throughout the year.
A primary charge nurse will be present from 0600 to 1530.
Primary charge nurses do not routinely complete cases but are on call.
Shifts include weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
On-call hours are also on a rotational basis, averaging 8 to 9 shifts per month.
Call response time is 30 minutes from the time of page.
Techs are not required to float.
Scrubs will be provided by the facility.
Orientation is typically 3 to 5 days in length.
A mandatory call list is utilized when staff cannot fulfill their call shift.
