Electrical Engineering Intern - The Toro Company

The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Create a specification for the product. Schematic capture and circuit design. PCB layout with the help of one of Toro’s PCB designers. Test the finished product in the lab using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc. The work will be guided by other electrical engineers to provide mentoring and keep the project on task. Other summer activities will include some job shadowing and supporting a current team project, possibly a vendor visit or trip to Toro manufacturing plant(s), and depending upon the candidate, some scripting in Python or similar language. What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: Majoring in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Completed junior-level courses preferred. Strong desire to learn, collaborate, and effectively communicate in a team setting while achieving a common goal. Ability to stay organized and able to use Microsoft Office programs without much direction. Bonus skills include: Analog circuit design, digital circuit design, ARM microcontrollers, PCB design, C programming, Python or similar Scripting Language. What Can We Give You? – Competitive compensation with an anticipated hourly rate of $22–$28. Actual rates may vary based on factors such as academic standing, business function, and other relevant considerations.
