Job Summary: As a Senior Craftsman at Clara Belle's, you will demonstrate and explain techniques and purposes of handcrafted products in a way that will result in meeting or exceeding guest expectations and production financial goals.

This position starts 3/24/2025 and ends 1/9/2026

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gives entertaining and informative demonstrations of craft, while working in appropriate period settings, using customs and crafts associated with folk life depicted in the Silver Dollar City setting.
• Acquires information about time period and lifestyle depicted and craft techniques associated with the time and area to devise plans for authentic presentation of craft.
• Explains techniques of craft and points out relationship of craft to lifestyle depicted to assist guests in comprehending traditional techniques of work and play related to the time and area.
• Effectively interacts with guests and fellow employees without distracting them while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Uses skills to build and strengthen production and retail shop personnel into a cohesive team.
• Proves to be self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.
• Ensures that established production goals are met or exceeded at a quality level of at least 95%.
• Keeps work area clean and well stocked and maintains organization and inventory of raw materials.
• Ensures compliance with all authorized operator requirements and safety procedures specific to the job location.
• Follows any other job related duties requested by leadership.
• Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
• Make Guest feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain a themed environment.
• Prepare & bake products to specification.
• Maintain a safe food environment and follow safety procedures.
• Ensure proper temperatures for food.
• Ensure proper display and presentation of food product.
• Manage production to meet business needs and control waste.
• Implement shop opening/closing/cleaning procedures.
• Maintain positive, helpful relationships with teammates.
• Time management, prioritizing tasks to maximize efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, the employee may be:

• 3-4 years of high-volume baking experience preferred
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to operate ovens/mixers/proofers/warmers.
• Must be able to obtain in-house ServSafe food training classes.

The employee must:

• Regularly lift, carry push and pull an average weight up to 25 pounds.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneels.
• Frequently required to taste or smell.
• Work in extreme temperature conditions related to a Bakery
• Wear personal protective gear (hair restraints, food safe gloves, etc.) correctly most of the day.
• Remember locations, understand and carry out instructions.
• Regularly required to walk on uneven, sloped surfaces including to and from assigned employee parking located at the park perimeter and employee workstation. Employees must be able to climb and descend steps on an employee shuttle bus based on parking assignments.
