Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 4x12-hour shifts
• Option for 36 or 48 hours/week
• Rotating weekends
• No call required

Requirements

• 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS and ACLS required
• Epic experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Pending NM or Compact license accepted (must be active before start)

Preferred Certifications

• NIHSS
• CPI
• PALS
• TNCC

Unit Information

• 32-bed ICU/CCU
• Adult patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Strong interdisciplinary support including:
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Pharmacy
  • Radiology
  • Rapid Response Team
  • Physical Therapy
  • Social Services

Common Diagnoses

• ARDS
• Sepsis
• CHF
• DKA
• GI Bleeds
• Overdose
• Post-op complications
• High-risk surgical patients
• OB pre/post patients
• Renal failure patients requiring CRRT

Skills Preferred

• Ventilator management
• Arterial lines
• Central lines and PICC care
• Cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• CRRT/CVVHD
• Procedural sedation
• Blood product administration
• BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC
• ABG interpretation

Floating

• Required to float to like units based on facility needs.
• Brief orientation provided when floating.

Additional Information

• 50-mile local radius rule (locals not accepted).
• Maximum of 4 days RTO can be auto-approved.
• All RTO must be submitted upfront.
• Previous employees must wait 1 year before returning as travelers.
• No interview required.
