Talascend is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Bedford, Indiana .


Overview


This role involves supervising and coordinating production teams in a manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met across multiple shifts.


Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate approximately 20-25 production employees supported by two team leaders.
• Oversee staffing, safety, production, quality, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assign work, monitor production and downtime, resolve operational and employee issues, and maintain records.
• Coach team members and support a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Arrive 30 minutes before shifts to review staffing and equipment status, and support shift handoffs.
• Maintain a strong floor presence throughout the shift, addressing safety and operational issues.
• Support continuous improvement activities using client and other tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of relevant manufacturing or industrial experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience in a union environment preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in business or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment preferred.
