Kennel-Assistant General ManagerDog Boarding At The Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC is looking for a kennel-assistant general manager to join our 10 person strong team. We are located on 401 Tyner St. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working. This is a very fast paced and physically demanding position.This can be a very difficult job, we are looking for an upbeat and positive addition to our management team to help motivate and encourage our entire team. We have some of the most fun, sassy, and hilarious staff. We are looking for a team leader to keep them accountable, on task, but continuing their fun loving and positive energies during their shift!Holidays and weekends are required. Open availability required. Please be able to come to work free of all scents including perfume/cologne and scented lotions.This is a salaried position which often requires immense dedication, including 6 day work weeks and/or working from home additionally.Experience in a similar position or as a vet tech preferred.We are offering interviews for this position on Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 4:45pm.Responsibilities:Train, coach, and develop employees and team leadersDelegate tasks to team and provide follow-upHold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as neededEnsure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate serviceStaff and schedule appropriately to control labor costsEnsure excellent customer serviceEnsure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in placeKeeping staff on taskOpening/closing facility without supervisionManaging basic kennel operationsDelegating and laying out staff policies and dutiesAssisting with basic paperworkCovering shifts as neededAssisting with and creating events and marketingEnsure quality control of canine care and kennel cleaning for all staffAssist in enrichment activities for daycareOversee and delegate deep cleaning of the facilityComplete inspection of the facility as neededAssist with employee reviewsAssist with managing budgetsQualifications:Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workersPossess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and cultureAbility to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused facilityStrong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organizeA minimum of 4 years experience in the field including some management experienceThis position requires basic grooming experienceThis position requires group management experienceAbility to learn and use our software systemBe a team playerSelf-motivated and able to manage the team without assistanceOpen availability*If you do not have the experience required for this position please inquire about our other positions.
