Location 9041 Old Seward Highway - Anchorage, Alaska 99515 Job Summary Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our KeyBank communities. As a Teller, you provide excellent client service in‑person by welcoming both new and existing clients to the Bank and assisting them with account transactions and servicing needs, including identifying and resolving client servicing issues. Through conversations with clients, you listen to uncover financial needs and transition clients to a Banker for deeper financial wellness discussions. Essential Functions Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially. Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions in an in‑person branch setting. Proactively works to identify and resolve client servicing issues, escalating as needed. Recognizes clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and appropriately transitions clients to a Banker. Assists clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives through the use of financial wellness tools. Attends and participates in in‑person morning huddles and end‑of‑day debriefs. Follows compliance, audit, and security procedures, balancing cash drawer within balancing guidelines. Reviews and maintains knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings. Works on Saturdays as directed by management. Performs other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required). Experience Experience in a client service role (required). Experience in cash handling (required). General understanding of PC with Windows‑based applications and calculator (required). Licenses and Certifications Notary License (preferred). Skills Knowledgeable about client’s accounts and business, using sound judgment with clients and transactions. Strong sales and service skills, presenting products and services while proactively educating clients on available access channels (ATM, Online, and Telephone Banking). Strong work ethic and high level of integrity. Excellent time management skills. Managing and maintaining client accounts, ensuring accuracy and security. Assisting clients with updating account information and ensuring transactions processed correctly. Educating clients on managing finances effectively and promoting financial health. Identifying opportunities to discuss financial wellness and guiding clients to appropriate resources or bank services. Accurately and securely processing cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and balancing cash drawers. Identifying and resolving client servicing issues efficiently. Understanding and following banking regulations and security procedures. Detecting and preventing fraudulent activities. Collaborating effectively with teammates to ensure smooth operations. Physical Demands Consumer Retail – Prolonged standing (5‑8 hours per day), frequent use of hands, ability to communicate face‑to‑face and on the phone, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, frequent lifting of 1–10lbs., occasional lifting up to 30lbs. Driving Requirements Occasional operation of a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $18.00 – $23.08 per hour. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience and geographic location. Incentive compensation may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
