Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldStrong knowledge of mechanical assembly manufacturing processes, including equipment, materials, and quality control methods.Knowledgeable of tool and fixture design, procurement, and optimization.Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.Being able to take drawings and compile manufacturing instructions from.US Citizen Desired Skills• Experience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flow• Related professional level career experience in production operations• Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership• Experience in capacity & capital planning• Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods• First Unit Flow planning & execution• Statement of work and proposal development experience• Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy• Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handlingPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
