Lead Security Electronics Technician (GFPSTNJ-5)

We are seeking a skilled  Lead Security Systems Technician to install, maintain, and repair electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, intercom, gate systems, and alarm systems  out of Elizabeth NJ. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong technical ability and a problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and wire security systems based on blueprints and building plans
• Program systems including CCTV, intrusion, access control, intercoms, and gate systems
• Perform routine maintenance, testing, and system inspections
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions (hardware & software)
• Troubleshoot issues across multiple system types
• Provide technical support and training to end users
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service work
• Integrate systems with fire alarms and other safety systems
• Assist with security assessments and recommend upgrades
• Manage tools, parts inventory, and respond to service calls

Qualifications:

• Strong technical knowledge of electronics, wiring, and security systems
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation:

• Hourly pay (based on experience)
• Emergency service calls:
• 4-hour minimum at time and a half
• 4-hour minimum at double time on recognized holidays
• Additional 8 hours of holiday pay at regular rate
