Med-Surg / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Night Shift – Relocation Candidates Welcome

• Location: Newport, VT

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions and those requiring close monitoring. Candidates with strong Med-Surg, PCU, and/or Telemetry experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ conditions and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.

• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and changes in patient conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders.

• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status.

• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow patient safety and infection control standards.

• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and ongoing care needs.

✅ Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience .

• Med-Surg, PCU, and/or Telemetry experience required.

• Active Vermont RN license or accepted compact RN privilege, subject to applicable requirements.

• Required certifications and credentials must be verified before submission.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.

• Must be available for night shifts, every other weekend, and holidays.
