Box Office Ticket Seller | Part-Time | Tahoe Blue Event Center

The Box Office Ticket Seller works under the supervision of the Box Office Supervisors, assists guests in purchasing tickets, resolves guest issues in accessing digital tickets, answers event questions, and provides excellent customer service.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.00

About the Venue

The Tahoe Blue Event Center is a 5,000-seat arena with an additional 10,000 square feet of meeting room space, located in the Stateline, Nevada area of South Lake Tahoe, nestled between the peaks of Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort and beautiful Lake Tahoe. Opened in September of 2023, the Tahoe Blue Event Center hosts 125+ events throughout the year, including concerts, sporting events, family shows, conferences, banquets, meetings, trade shows, consumer shows, and more. The Tahoe Blue Event Center is home to the Tahoe Knight Monsters of the ECHL.

Responsibilities

• Selling event tickets using Ticketmaster's TM1 platform.
• Dealing with customer issues at the box office.
• Answering and returning phone calls to answer ticket-related questions.
• Understanding Acrisure Arena's digital ticketing platforms to help guests who cannot locate their tickets or who struggle with the technology of digital tickets.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 12 years experience in an office setting or similar preferred.
• Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations.
• Ability to define, analyze, and solve problems.
• Ability to coordinate box office procedures with other staff.
• Ability to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to safely and accurately handle and account for large sums of money.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with courtesy and tact when dealing with the public and promoters.
• Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other staff, event promoters, and the general public.
• Skill in operating modern office equipment, including computers.
• Frequent bending, lifting heavy objects, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, and extensive walking through the building.
