About the Position

We are a busy, patient-focused oral and maxillofacial surgery practice seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.

The ideal candidate is organized, communicates well, enjoys interacting with patients, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Previous experience in a dental, oral surgery, medical, or specialty practice is preferred , but we are willing to consider candidates with strong customer service and administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and professionally
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Check patients in and out
• Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
• Assist with insurance verification and benefit information
• Collect patient payments and accurately process transactions
• Communicate treatment and appointment information clearly to patients
• Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain an efficient patient schedule
• Manage referrals, records, and other front-office documentation
• Respond professionally to patient questions and concerns
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
• Perform general administrative and front-office duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous dental, oral surgery, medical, or healthcare front-desk experience is preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Professional and friendly phone etiquette
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Dependable, punctual, and organized
• Comfortable multitasking in a busy office
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn practice-management software
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Experience with dental insurance, treatment coordination, scheduling, or oral surgery is a plus and may qualify candidates for higher compensation.

Compensation & Benefits

$20–$30 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
