Interstate Assembly System's Surprise Arizona location is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team. Quality Control (QC) Inspector works for the company to inspect, test, sample materials, parts, procedures, or products for defects and any deviations from specifications. Manage tech time on jobs. Coordinate with Sales Operations for vehicle inspections, completion, and delivery. Primary (Essential) Duties: Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced to ensure integrity, safety and level of quality our customers are expecting. Complete inspection reports on software system (Record 360) and other required and appropriate documents in a professional, accurate, neat, and legible manner. Submit the same reports in a timely manner and in accordance with the guidelines established. Ensure assembly departments make proper repairs on items identified by QC team on Record 360 Software. Monitor assembly operations to ensure that they meet production standards. Identify and Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process as needed once reviewed by supervisors. Apply all OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI, and other codes or regulations pertaining to our industry. Assist on checking in chassis with software system. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Excellent attendance and ability to work overtime. Effective communication skills verbally and through email. Experience operating forklifts. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Strong orientation towards cleanliness, safety, and quality. Ability to lift to 75 lbs. on a regular basis. Knowledgeable with OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI, MIOSHA, Part 18 and 20 standards and regulations for overhead cranes and hoisting systems. Experience/Education Requirements: Valid Driver’s License (CDL a Plus) Strong mechanical knowledge. Must have basic tools Good eye for all aspects of quality. Hydraulic and air system experience. Working Conditions, Travel/Schedule expectations and Physical Demands: Traditional work schedule includes occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently stands and reaches with hands and arms and performs repetitive tasks. The employee is frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and infrequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee may regularly be required to perform forceful use of hands, wrist and forearms.
