Schedule: Full-time, 32-40 hours per week. Clinic Hours: Monday, Wednesday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm. Tuesday 11:00-7:00pm. Saturday 10:00-3:00pm. Location: 3105 N 93rd St, Omaha, NE 68134. Job Summary Under direct supervision of the Health Center Manager, the Registered Nurse performs routine health center duties associated with a reproductive and sexual health program within the scope of RN licensure. Responsible for providing a high level of customer service, patient care, supporting operations, history review, lab processing, contraceptive supplies, unbiased education, inventory help and assisting Clinicians. Provides excellent customer service and may perform other related duties. Perform routine laboratory tests, venipuncture, communicate results, assure appropriate follow‑up, process incoming results. Provide factual patient education on birth‑control methods and unbiased instructions. Inform patients non‑directively about pregnancy options and provide supporting materials for services based on needs. Provide unbiased information to clients seeking abortion, describe differences between medication and surgical abortion. Refer patients per protocol, perform follow‑up functions, ensure complete documentation of care plan. Follow all federal, state and local laws regarding mandated reporting, abortion services, healthcare services, and HIPAA. Provide contraceptive supplies and medications, including injectables, perform venipuncture, manage medical emergencies per PPNCS protocols, maintain inventory control. Communicate protocols, policy and procedures to clinicians and staff, ensure clinic manuals are up to date. Maintain knowledge of Planned Parenthood policies and procedures and apply them to patient and clinic services. Supervise nursing functions as delegated by Manager or clinician. Participate in onboarding new employees and cross‑training established employees. Collaborate with and provide coverage at health centers in assigned neighborhoods. Administer mild and moderate sedation. Perform ultrasound medical services per PPNCS Standards and Guidelines. Supervise and assess patient post‑procedure recovery. Perform other clinical skills within scope of training and state laws.
