Pacific CARE Pet Emergency & Specialty is expanding its specialty services and is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dermatologist to establish and grow our Dermatology service in Irvine. This is a rare opportunity to build a referral service from the ground up while having the support of an established emergency and multispecialty hospital, experienced clinicians, and a growing referring community.

Pacific CARE is a 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art multispecialty and 24/7 emergency hospital with Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Cardiology services. The hospital's collaborative model provides opportunities to work alongside multiple specialties on complex cases and deliver comprehensive care under one roof.

The facility is designed to support advanced medicine, with CT, ultrasound, two surgery suites, ICU and isolation capabilities, high-flow oxygen, and minimally invasive surgical and scoping capabilities. You'll have access to the resources of a modern specialty center while having the autonomy to shape Dermatology around your clinical interests and vision.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Establish and grow Pacific CARE's new Dermatology service
• Manage complex dermatologic cases across a diverse referral population
• Develop individualized diagnostic and treatment plans for dermatology patients
• Utilize advanced diagnostic capabilities and hospital resources to support comprehensive case management
• Collaborate with Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, and other specialty teams on shared patients
• Develop strong relationships with referring veterinarians and serve as a trusted Dermatology resource for the Orange County community
• Help shape workflows, protocols, and the future growth of the Dermatology service
• Mentor technicians and support staff as part of daily case management
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners throughout diagnosis and treatment
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for California veterinary licensure
• Board Certification in Veterinary Dermatology (DACVD) or residency trained in Veterinary Dermatology and board eligible
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine
• An interest in building and growing a Dermatology referral service
